Personality: Veronica is a great many things, and carries a great deal of presence when she enters the room. She is simply one of those people that demands your attention at all times, without saying a single word. Perhaps it’s something in the way she dresses, or the way she carries herself. She exudes a very strong sense of confidence, though at times it may appear to be a little false. She puts a lot of stock into her own abilities, and has never been shy about saying so, though she does not go so far as to be a braggart. For the most part, she appears to be a very strong and self-reliant woman on the surface, fully capable of caring for herself and holding her own in almost any situation. This is the Veronica Vera she allows the majority of the people she meets to see.

However, there is far more to Veronica than meets the eye. She is a complex woman with, as much as she hates to admit it, more than her share of flaws. While she puts on a confident front, there are many areas in which she finds herself to be exceedingly insecure. She is constantly hungry for attention, which is a major influence in her choice of dress and public behavior. She considers the bedroom to be her natural playing field, and is not shy about using sex to capture a man’s attention. She finds sex to be an area where she has an incredible amount of power, and relishes in taking the time to dominate those who are foolish (or lucky!) enough to make it into her bed. That small bit of power is enough to smooth over most of her emotional insecurities – there’s nothing like hearing another human being beg to give your ego a well-needed boost.

Power seems to be a running theme with Veronica. She is manipulative, extremely bossy and demanding, and does not hesitate to give out orders. She is decent in acting the part of leader, something that serves her very well in her line of work. She has no problem taking on a great number of responsibilities, though she is often more than happy to pawn a few of them off onto any lackeys she might be dealing with. She takes great pleasure in her work, specifically any jobs that involve torturing people to get information for Lord Rasputin.

Oddly enough, Veronica is fiercely loyal. Her loyalties might not always be well-placed, but take the time to earn her trust, and you will have found yourself a loyal ally. If you happen to be male, she might even be a bit clingy about it, but she has proven herself to be very reliable and a worthy ally several times over. If you’re looking for a powerful sorceress whose loyalty will not falter, Veronica is your woman – given you put in enough effort to make such a partnership worth her while.

Physical Description: Standing at 5’7”, Veronica is a bit on the tall side, weighing in at an average 130 lbs. She possesses a rather curvy figure, with wide hips and a bust she is more than happy to put on display. Her clothing tends to be scant, baring far more cleavage than is really necessary, leaving her thighs bare. She dresses almost solely in blue and aqua green, colors that compliment her pale blonde hair and blue eyes. She favors corsets and collars – most of her ensembles feature these two items – and very rarely wears clothing that any human being in their right mind would deem decent. The tall, spike heels on her knee-high boots boost her up to a somewhat impressive 5’11”. She has tattoos on both her right thigh and forearm: gray, spiraling patterns that almost resemble wings. She wears half a mask over one eye, made up of green, black, and blue feathers, accented with a liberal application of eye makeup. She almost always keeps her long, pale hair pulled back, and favors somewhat showy, dangly jewelry.

Background: Magic has always been in Veronica’s blood. She comes from a family that has been practicing extensive black magic and summoning for generations, and so she began training in the black arts at a very young age. Her mother, Samantha, was renowned for her talent with magic and demon-summoning. Naturally, Veronica wanted to follow in her footsteps. She attended private school during the day, and studied magic intensively at home. She quickly proved to be quite the adept, and by the age of fifteen, had a solid handle on several different brands of magic.

For awhile, it seemed there wasn’t much use for her talent, but after some time, she began advertising her services, putting herself out as a sort of sorceress-for-hire. She continue on with this work for a few years. Business was slow: there never seemed to be much call for a sorceress, most people preferred to have mercenaries who relied on brute strength do their jobs. However, through this line of work she was discovered by Rasputin, who recruited her shortly thereafter.

Working for Rasputin seemed to open up a world of opportunities for Veronica. After some time, she was able to work her way into Rasputin’s good graces, and became a key member of his inner circle. She was hardly ever left wanting for anything, her position earning her a life of very comfortable luxury in return for her services – magic-related as well as others. She has held her position in Rasputin’s circle for six years now, and is one of his commanding officers. She works alongside Lenny Curtis, who is the muscle of the operation. She and Lenny command the Steel Claws, Rasputin’s own personal fighting force, both dedicated in their work to support Rasputin’s campaign to conquer Russia. Aside from Rasputin himself, Veronica also takes orders from Nicolai Conrad, Rasputin’s second-in-command. She is also Lord Rasputin’s paramour.

Since Nicolai has freed himself of Astaroth's control and sent Lord Rasputin his letter of resignation, Veronica has been sent in to do reconnaissance and keep tabs on her former superior. Her partner, Lenny Curtis, is expected to follow close behind.

Skills: As stated before, Veronica is highly adept with black magic. She is a first-class sorceress and specializes in summoning demons, many of which she treats as her pets. Her combat skills are not solely magic-based, however. She is a decent physical fighter, and there is no one who can compare to her handling with a whip.

Aside from magic and summoning, Veronica is also skilled in rhetoric. Being manipulative by nature serves her well here. She often serves as Rasputin’s diplomat, due to her way with words and powers of persuasion. Of course, there will always be those who can resist her turn of phrase. In such cases, she has been known to occasionally resort to brute force – luckily, these situations don’t come up too often. She is usually able to find a better solution, or another angle to wheedle from.
